Let's do this the simplest way possible. Instead of doing a poll (again, I distrust these things because of Jeb. Bush, Rory Fitzpatrickgate and the All-Star voting) we'll count your comments as a vote instead.
So, simply enough, choose one of the two options:
Option 1: Standard snake draft
1-30 first round 30-1 second round 1-30 third 30-1 fourth rinse, repeat
Option 2: Joe's snake draft (he could feel free to explain it more accurately, but the basic idea would be something like):
1-30 first round 30-1 second round 30-1 third 1-30 fourth
We'll let the sweaty masses decide this one. Have at it.

You couldn't make this a poll.
OK. I choose Option 1. It's what most fantasy drafts use, right?

I vote for my proposed snake.
Why? Because pick #1 is far more valuable than pick #30. Whoever gets picked at #30, though a first rounder, will be no where near as valuable as the possible picks at #1. To help make up for the fact that there is a very small amount of truly top-tier talent in the NHL. Changing the order to give those in the 20-30's an extra early pick through the first couple rounds will narrow that advantage to the top teams by giving the later teams an extra chance at slightly better depth, rather than having one of those super-talents like Ovie/Malkin/etc.

This will inevitably come to an impasse, picks 1-15 will vote for a regular snake, while 16-30 will vote the opposite.
So, with that in mind, seeing as I have a bottom 5 pick, count my vote behind iamjoe.

I'm for #1, but I'm in that biased top half.
