So, I have never played any of the NHL video games at all. I don't own any kind of video game console. Now that we're over the shock ... I was looking at Vance's post with his lineup (http://doubleedgedsabres.com/armchair-gm-sabres-lineup/) and I wondered if that's the level of detail necessary to set the teams up for the game? Also, this has probably been mentioned elsewhere but how many players are we ultimately drafting? 12 forwards, 6 D, 2 goalies?

Oh don't worry about that, the game would set up your line up for you. You can mix and match to your hearts desires but usually it'll put the "best" lines together based on their algorithms.

Oh cool, thanks! It does sound like fun to make up the lineup though. Your screenname makes me laugh every time.

Yeah, that's the only reason I'm doing it. Thought it'd be fun to build a real "team" instead of picking best available every time.
And thanks, if only I could be so pun-ny all the time.

And thanks, if only I could be so pun-ny all the time. Oh, dear.

Hell, I sadly haven't played an NHL video game since 2004 -- and I apparently forgot that defense doesn't win video game championships. Oh well, a monkey could improve the Islanders.
