James and I have been talking the past day or so about the best way to get this thing rolling. Personally, I believe this to be the best format: - We have an "Official Draft Thread", one for each round, that is used ONLY to announce your pick. No replies, no comments, just the announcement for the pick. We can use the other forums and threads for reaction and poking fun.
- We set a specific time period for when the draft starts, and how much time is allocated for each pick. Personally, I think an hour is enough for each pick, with 12 or so each day. We'd post the schedule ahead of time, so that each "team" knows exactly when their post is due.
- Of course, we can talk about our picks on our sites and elsewhere, but the official selection will be made in the "Official Draft Thread". That way James doesn't have to check all of our sites for the picks that are made.
This way, the draft is covered in a centralized location where we can each post our picks and keep track of who is taken. We could also have an updated thread with one post that lists all drafted players. I'm not the deciding factor on this, this is merely my suggestion. I'm all ears for ideas.

I like the Official Draft Thread idea, as a place of purely picks. Will make it very organized and easy to follow. Just have James tack up the thread, and make the first post that round's draft order.
As for when to start the draft, I'm guessing it will be properly rolling by this weekend or something, whenever James has completely decided on the rules of this and post them up here. I think giving people an hour a piece and trying to crank out 12 picks a day is pushing it a bit though. Maybe that will be easier in later rounds, but I think the first round is such that you're going to see a lot more of "oh no, i really wanted that guy at #13, and he just went #12" kinda thing. I think the first round, we should shoot for a couple picks a day, like 2-4, and then we'll speed it up a bit from there. Obviously most of us are able to check in here pretty regularly to participate here, but planning things down to the hour might result in "oh no, my time slot is from 3pm-4pm today, and thats when im driving home from work!" which isn't any fun.
