See here's my problem with the list situation. I'll go out on a limb here and say that, if we all send in top 50 lists or whatever, somebody is going to end up with 2 LW, 3 C, and 7 RW, just by the fact that "best available" doesn't always equate to team need. Doing a list a few spots ahead of your pick seems reasonable and doesn't put undue pressure on anybody... if you want to pick for need, say LW, list your five preferred LW's. Even a list of 50 players (for two rounds of picks) only picks two players. There's really no risk of ending up with 12 defensemen if you take a minute to think about it. Bottom line is we basically need to get 8-10 picks a day to finish this before the NHL season starts (how many rounds are we doing, officially???), and we are nowhere near that pace. I think the only way we remedy this is to streamline the process, and so far the list of preferred picks is the best option I can see.

It puts undue pressure/work on James if we all pile 30 lists on to him, then if best available on your list then becomes your 12th defensemen, (yes exaggeration, but the point remains). I think the list idea will also take away any semblance of trade opportunities, because frankly, you don't know who's available. Let's get serious, right now, if we were going by lists no one from 28 - 35 would be trying to trade up with LBC to grab Mr. Stanley Cup Runner Up (sorry Mr. Scribbits). I still think that if you want to send James a list, by all means go ahead, but I'd prefer just checking once an hour from my desk, and every so often from my phone at home. If there's a way to do a better notification system, we could always try that, a facebook group, twitter, have the guy in front of you email you when he's picked so you know its your turn? Obviously we need to speed this up, we just have to figure out how. Even if you did a list of your top 30 available guys, and all 30 were defensemen, you'll only come away with 1 defenseman for that round. I get not wanting to make GIANT lists. But I do think that making them in smaller batches might be a decent idea.

I am here now for the rest of the day.. can do whatever anyone wants CTC - James said LBC gets till 1pm Central Time. By my clock, it is now 1:40 central time, so you can make your pick, post it on the picks board, and and we can keep going. I'll be putting up whatever picks there are up on CLS until I go into production later today.

Ok i picked twice... not really sure what to do with FLA's picks, but I guess that's up to James.
PErsonally I think he should make Litterboxes pick, and we wait on him until tomorrow for his second round one...

I will wait to pick and I'll talk to James tonight, and we'll figure things out then.

I will wait to pick and I'll talk to James tonight, and we'll figure things out then. Best idea.. worst case James erases the picks and we just start anew tomorrow, or James can just drop the second round picks and let LBC pick last in the first round as a sort of "forgetting to have a contingency plan" penalty...

Basically, Jibble: Nothing changes from last night (yours and Anaheim's picks stand), FLA made their two picks, and we continue on from there. Basically, since FLA missed their pick, they also missed the opportunity to trade their pick, which is unfortunate, but is probably the most equitable solution.
